Since 1998, Sandweiss Test Prep has been offering comprehensive test preparation services, academic tutoring, and admissions consulting to elementary, middle & high school students throughout the Puget Sound. We are a local company dedicated to providing high-quality instruction, affordable rates, and flexible learning options, all with the goal of helping your child succeed on their ISEE or SSAT.

Our course provides the most comprehensive support you’re likely to find when researching ISEE & SSAT course options. We’ll teach you to tackle every question type in detail, provide you with effective strategies for managing each section, and help you maximize your overall score.

In addition to offering expert test preparation, we can also provide guidance with selecting schools and writing application essays for families seeking admission to local private schools.

For the foreseeable future, we’ll be holding both in-person and online, small group ISEE/SSAT courses.

  • Online courses are held via Zoom with lesson times specified in synchronous time. 
    • Zoom allows for students to ask questions, interact with each other and the teacher, participate verbally and use the virtual whiteboard – without having to deal with traffic to and from our office!  
  • In-person courses are held in our new Seattle office.  Students attending in-person courses are required to comply with all WA State and CDC group safety guidelines in place when the course begin.
    • Upper Level students must be fully vaccinated to attend in-person courses; proof of vaccination is required.
    • Elementary, Lower and Middle Level students must wear a mask at all times.

  • Students in both online and in-person classes take their practice tests at home via our online testing platform which provides an online answer sheet and automatic timing. 

We ensure that each child receives proper attention by limiting the number of students in our in-person and online courses.  If a course fills well in advance of its start date, we may open an additional section.

If your child needs extra help with math, our summer ISEE & SSAT Math Workshops can provide the knowledge and support they need!

  • Math workshops are also appropriate for students who need a general math refresher or who will take a placement exam such as the HSPT.
  • When preparing for a standardized exam, it’s best to take the math workshop prior to taking our comprehensive ISEE/SSAT course.

Comprehensive ISEE & SSAT COURSE FEATURES

  • 9 – 11+ hours of content and strategy instruction (depending on course level) divided into five class lessons

  • Three practice tests AND three hours of individual tutoring provided after group lessons end

    • Student reviews each practice test with a tutor before taking another test
    • Tutoring scheduled based on mutual availability

  • Customized ISEE/SSAT prep books include hundreds of practice questions

  • Take an initial ISEE or SSAT diagnostic test before class begins to identify strengths and weaknesses on the exam and to provide a baseline score.

*Now is a great time to take a diagnostic test!  Our new online testing platform enables parents to easily proctor their children’s SSAT and ISEE tests at home.  Diagnostic testing enables us to identify areas of concern and to recommend the most effective test prep plan to help your child feel confident and to succeed on their ‘real’ exam.
