Prep Course & Tutoring Policies

Group Course Policies


  • A deposit payment of $200 is required to secure your space in a course.
  • Full payment for all group courses is due two weeks before the first course lesson. If you would like to pay the course fee in installments, let us know. We’re happy to help you arrange a payment plan. Please contact us before your course begins for details.
  • Course Refund Policy: The $200 deposit and any other course payments are refundable up until two weeks (14 days) before the course start date, minus a $50 processing fee.  A 50% refund of the full course fee is available up until one week (7 days) before the course start date. No refunds will be provided for cancellations made less than seven (7) days before the course start date, but we will provide a credit for a different course for fees paid, minus the $200 deposit. The credit may only be used by the student or by a member of the student’s immediate family and it is not transferable. The credit expires one year from the date of the cancellation request.

Course Repeat:

If you take an ACT, SAT or GRE test prep course with us and you were not able to make the best use of your lessons, we offer the opportunity of a one-time repeat of our next, scheduled course for $125, dependent upon space availability.

Please note:

  • If your original course was condensed – fewer hours and offered at a reduced price – you will be asked to pay the difference in course fees, plus the Repeat Fee.
  • For ACT/SAT students, the repeat option includes the course lessons, practice tests and test reviews. 
  • For GRE students, the repeat option only includes the six group lessons and is based upon your prior registration (including math refresher or not).
  • Study Hall is not included for students repeating the course at a reduced fee.
  • A new prep book is not included for students repeating the course at a reduced fee. Please make sure to bring the book you received in your original course.  If that isn’t possible, please purchase a new book before your repeat course begins.  We do not sell books, and therefore we cannot provide a second book.

Tutoring Policies

How to Set up a Tutoring Schedule:

  1. The first step is to complete this Tutoring Registration Form.
  2. We will reach out to you with any questions we have about your request.
  3. We will work with you via email to create a complete tutoring schedule that suits your needs.
  4. Though we strive to complete your tutoring schedule as quickly as possible, please allow extra time during peak testing seasons.
  5. We will alway keep each student with the same tutor throughout their prep, unless scheduling needs are too complex.

Scheduling/Administrative Hours:   

  • 10:00am – 6:00pm Mondays – Thursdays
  • 10:00am – 3:00pm Fridays
    • Scheduling, rescheduling and cancellation requests received outside of these weekday administrative hours will be addressed the following business day.
  • Please provide all requests to schedule, reschedule or cancel appointments via email.
    • We are unable to add, change, or remove your appointments over the phone.


  • All tutoring fees are expected up front – before each appointment begins.
  • Your Tutoring Registration and Materials Fee is due when your tutoring schedule is confirmed – before your first appointment begins.
  •  You may pay for each appointment individually – “as you go” – or please pay in advance for as many appointments as you’d like.
  • If payments are not received each week or otherwise in a timely manner, and prior arrangements have not been made, we reserve the right to refuse service or to request that a student contact a parent/guardian to make the payment prior to beginning the tutoring session.

Cancellation Policy:

We understand that many of our clients have very busy schedules and that situations arise that would require rescheduling or canceling an appointment.  Please remember that your tutor’s time has been reserved for you and he/she will be expecting you at your scheduled and confirmed time.  We kindly request that you provide us with a minimum of 48 hours notice during our administrative hours to avoid charges.

  • We will do our best to reschedule appointments cancelled with only 24-48 hours notice, but this may not be possible in the last few weeks before official exams, especially during our busiest tutoring seasons.  Appointments cancelled with only 24-48 hours notice that are not or cannot be rescheduled will be charged a 50% cancellation fee.
  • Full payment is expected for appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours notice and for those considered to be a ‘No Show’ with no call to cancel.

Registering for Standardized Tests

Our group course and private tutoring programs do not include registration for the actual test. We are not affiliated with any of the official testing organizations - we provide practice tests only!
