How to Set up a Tutoring Schedule:
- The first step is to complete our Tutoring Registration Form.
- Please either include your prior test scores or take a diagnostic test with us. Your scores will enable us to accurately recommend a number of tutoring sessions to maximize your improvement.
- We will reach out by phone or email with any questions prior to scheduling your tutoring.
- We will work with you via email to finalize and confirm a complete tutoring schedule that suits your needs.
- Students are scheduled with the same tutor throughout their prep, unless scheduling needs are too complex.
- Please provide all requests to schedule, reschedule or cancel appointments via our office email: sandweiss@gmail.com.
- Having a virtual “paper trail” for scheduling helps to avoid miscommunication or misunderstandings about scheduling, rescheduling and cancellation requests. Please do not leave a phone message for this!
- Tutors’ schedules are managed through our office. We cannot process schedule change requests over the phone, nor can tutors do so before, during or after appointments.
Payment:
- You will be able to see your balance due and remit card payments directly in your online tutoring account.
- *Check payments are always appreciated since they do not require us to pay credit card fees.
- In addition to session fees, test prep students are also charged a Tutoring Registration & Materials Fee, due when your tutoring schedule is confirmed – before your appointments begin.
- All tutoring session fees are expected up front – before each appointment begins.
- You may pay for each appointment separately, in advance of each one, or for several sessions at once, in advance of the first one.
- Refunds for sessions cancelled with 48 hours+ notice are subject to an administrative fee of $25.
- If payments are not received each week or otherwise in a timely manner, and prior arrangements have not been made, we reserve the right to refuse service or to request that a student contact a parent/guardian to make the payment before we begin the tutoring session. Upon receipt of an invoice for unpaid sessions, payment is due within five days, or late fees may be applied.
Cancellation Policy:
We understand that many of our clients have very busy schedules and that situations arise that would require rescheduling or canceling an appointment. We kindly request that you provide a minimum of 48 hours notice to avoid charges.
Each tutor’s time is reserved for their students so please prioritize your sessions and provide plenty of notice if you need to change an appointment day or time. We always do our best to accommodate rescheduling requests within the following limitations.
- Cancellations received within 24-48 hours of a scheduled appointment may be charged a 50% cancellation fee, UNLESS the cancelled session is rescheduled to a different day/time. The rescheduled session must be booked and paid for within 3 days (72 hours) of the cancelled appointment, but it does not need to occur within this time frame.
- Cancellations received with less than 24 hours and appointments considered to be ‘No Shows’ with no notice of a need to cancel/reschedule will be charged in full.
